I noticed the stats on the Rattlesnake are pleasing to my eye. I watched a shield tank Rattle go headsup with an armageddon a few days ago. Rattle let the Arm bang away, not even firing back. When his shield got to 20% he Energy Vamped the Arm and Shield Boosted to 100% in a few seconds. After a while the Arm left, it was useless. Anyway that was awesome, and seeing the Rattlesnake do this was what I sort of had in mind as what I wanted. I would just like some input if there is a better drone ship, 4 or more laucher shield tank than the Rattlesnake?

Hiya, I see what you mean, if in the long run you want to do pvp, i would'nt advice using a rattlesnake, they are good ships.
Rattlesnakes have supreame passive tanks, and are also able to active tank. The rattlesnake is really good for end game missioners, who like to not be able to worry about getting blown up and losing theyre ships in pve. Its good for afk missioning. It does have good drones skills and drone damage but 4 missles kinda suck, and its very slow ship.
The dps is hard to maximise, to increase it above 1500 you really need to spend alot more isk. If you looking for a ship to do pvp in the long run and use missles and drones and shields then mimitar seem like a good bet for you. Because they have good PVP ships, fast and really fun. btw the sitiuation you mention above the rattlesnake tanking etc, could be done by any ship, if you go over board on tank that is. The rattlesnake balance out, with dps and tank can tank alot maybe BC if pimped right. No more. Like i said earleir the mimi ships have good missles good drones good speed and alot of ships can be used in armor fleets and shield fleets. In the long run the rattlesnake will just get blown up and you wont kill anyone hehe |
